Payment/Refund/Return Policy

The academy will accept a deposit to hold a students place but all fees must be paid in full no later then 5 weeks prior to the course start date. Deposit level is 30 – 50 % and deposits are non-refundable. However, a deposit can be transferred to the next available course provided a minimum of 5 weeks written notice to course start date is given.

Should a student fail to attend a confirmed course or complete the course for any reason (such as illness, personal problems, change of location etc), no refunds of deposits or fees will be made, and no transfer of course dates will take place.

The Academy reserves the right to re-schedule the course and no refund will be payable. Course fees will not be refunded should a course be cancelled or interrupted through an act of God or a terrorist act.

Students will not be accepted on the course commencement date if the full balance, of course, has not been paid. All courses and fees are subject to change without prior notice.

Payments in the UK can be made in person or over the phone using debit or credit cards. Through a member of our admin team. Payment is only accepted in in Great British Pounds (GBP)

Payments in the USA can be made by Paypal and bank transfer

Payment in the UAE can be be made in person using credit or Debit cards. We also offer secure online payment options. please ask a member of our admin team who will send you our online payment option.  Payment in only accepted in AED.“This website is governed by the UAE law

For all our academies we accept payment by Cheques, Cash and bank thansfer. Please ask an AOFM Admin team member who will be happy to provide you with our bank details.

AOFM (London Academy of Freelance) does not keep personal payment details and or informational on file once payments has been made)


Students should arrive on time or contact the Academy at the earliest opportunity if they expect to be late.

The Academy reserves the right to withhold certification to students without regular attendance, or the minimum required standard.

Time off for religious holidays, booked holidays, planned weddings, medical appointments etc. must be discussed and agreed before application. We recommend that all absence be avoided where possible.

Students must notify the Academy of any medical conditions or special requirements they may have.

Students leave personal belongings at the Academy at their own risk. The Academy accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage.

General Behaviour

Students should not remove any materials from the Academy without prior consent.

Theft of academy property is not tolerated and will result in expulsion with no moneys being returned.

Any damage to Academy property or studio premises caused by the student will be chargeable.

On a daily basis throughout the duration of all AOFM courses students are required to work and practice on each other – this is the case for all modules including makeup, hair, nails, airbrush and special FX module. If you have a medical condition preventing you to be worked on then you must advise AOFM staff prior to booking – supporting documentation might be required.

For all AOFM makeup courses you will receive an exclusive AOFM Pro Brush set to use during the duration of your course. AOFM accepts no responsibility for lost or misplaced brushes.

Respect and professionalism towards staff members and fellow classmates is a required behaviour within and outside the classroom.

All facilities should be left in an acceptable state.

Work and Assisting Opportunities

All work and assisting opportunities are subject to availability and up to AOFM’s discretion when placing positions.

All work and assisting opportunities are available to AOFM graduates who have completed and received a certificate for the following course:

  • Complete Artistic Pro Specialist Certificate
  • Total Pro Creative Specialist Certificate
  • Professional Makeup and Hair Styling Specialist Certificate

If you do not show up to your booked opportunity, AOFM will not be able to offer you any more work or assisting opportunities.


All free masterclasses are subject to availability and subject to change without prior notice. Graduates eligible for masterclass opportunities must have completed and received a certificate of completion from any of our makeup courses.

Accreditation, Exams and Certificates 

Students are required to return for a practical and theory exam with an external verifier from the UK in order to be issued with their certificates with CIBTAC. (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).

Certificates awarded by BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) will be issued after successful completion of the module and sent to the student within 3 weeks of graduation.

All other certificates from the London Academy of Freelance Makeup and City & Guilds will be awarded to the student upon completion and pass of the modules at the end of their course.
