AOFM graduates were backstage for its 6th season at NOLCHA in NYC. Returning to the amazing pier 59 the team set up for a full day of shows. We had 4 separate looks to create for 7 designers.
Look one: Charles & Ron. The look for Charles and Ron was flawless and fresh with a 60s inspired eye.The skin was prepped using Dermalogica skincare, then Bobbi Brown foundation sticks were buffed in to the skin using a dual fibre Brush or a Beauty Blender for that flawless finish. A Makeup Forever creme rose blush was applied to the cheeks and a finishing powder where needed. A light brown smoked out eye was applied using the urban decay naked 1 pallete and a think black liquid liner was added to the top and bottom lash line, a generous amount of mascara was added to the lashes and to finish the eye where we also used a little white liner on the waterline, A perfectly modern 60s inspired look.
Look 2: Haute Athletics. The look for Haute Athletics was a glam LA workout look. A strong brown smokey eye was applied using Mac Brown shadows teamed with a black gel liner, a full black strip lash was added to finish off the look and add some drama to the eye. The skin was fresh and bronzed slightly dewy and the lips were glossed with a light pink gloss. Workout Glamour at NYFW.
Look 3: Yvette Hass. The look for Yvette Hass was full of drama and was a dream to create. We started with the eyes in a very dramatic gold/black/silver messy look. A black grease paint was added sporadically over the eye up to the brow, leaving gaps to add in gold and sliver pigments. Silver pigment was added to the inner corner of the eye and then gold was added on the lid and dusted over the black grease paint to give a messy textured feel.
Skin was a Demi-matte finish. We achieved this by using Makeup Forever HD Foundation and powdering with the Makeup Forever HD Powder, we slightly contoured the cheek using Mac Sculpt.Lips were nude and a little gold pigment was added to the Cupid’s bow to finish the look.
Look 4: Katty Xiomara. The look for Katty’s collection was bold and strong contrasting her feminine collection and making a perfect statement.A bold pink/red graphic eye was applied starting with a red grease paint as the base, then a pink lose pigment was pressed over the top. The skin was a Demi-Matte finish with a slight peach creme blush applied to the apples of the cheek. Soft and Gentle Mac highlighter was added to the cheekbones and on the high points of the face. A custom pink lip colour was mixed using two different OCC lip tars and tapped in to the lips. The finished look perfectly complimented Katty’s beautiful collection.
The AOFM Graduates did an amazing job looking after all the looks for the different designers this day.
