The AOFM graduate team headed down to the Salon at the Lincoln Centre to work on the Lie Sang Bong Show in New York. Architectural and structural designs with an artistic touch sum up the Lie Sang Bong AW15 collection which was titled ‘Oriental Ink’. This season, Lie Sang Bong collaborated with Sun K. Kwak, a New York-based artist known for her three-dimensional space drawings constructed entirely of masking tape, to transform the runway into a work of art. The background was the perfect setting for the show.
Head Artist Yin Lee designed a makeup look that had a nod to minimalism and simplicity, concentrating on a black liner that complimented the collection’s ‘Oriental Ink’ . The team started of with prepping the models skin with their Dermalogica products giving them a fresh faced base to work with. Eyelashes were curled up and the foundation was applied lightly and buffed in using Beauty Blenders to give that minimal flawless skin. The team filled in brows lightly and a beige eye pencil was applied in the lower waterline. Blacktrack gel liner from Mac was applied on the upper lid starting from the inner corner of the eye and built up in thickness until the end. It would then be smudged with a small brush to take away hardness from the edges. Black mascara was applied just on the upper lashes and the look was finished of with a dab of foundation on the lips for that even finish we like so much. This was yet another amazing show this season for Aofm to work on and what an incredible experience the team had working with such a great designer.
