AOFM students headed the makeup and hair backstage for this international designer in one of the major fashion capitals during Milan for Fashion Week. This Swiss designer Julian Zigerli menswear is known for smart, useful and technically high-class pieces with a sporty twist – AW15 kept Zigerli’s ethos in tact with fun, flashes of colour and metallics.
The look was dewy looking skin and all the models were checked for noticeable stubble and any offenders were whisked away with the fantastic Dermalogica Shave Kit that has everything needed for an ultra close shave (Kit includes Daily Clean Scrub, Pre-shave Guard, Soothing Shave Cream and Post Shave Balm). Then we thoroughly prepared by using the PH-balanced Dermalogica Ultra Calming cleanser that gives the skin a delicate yet effective cleanse, Dermalogica Multi-active Toner follows this. This toner is ultra light and preps the skin for proper moisture absorption for the Dermalogica Active Moist that is a superb oil-free moisturiser. A little Lucas Pawpaw Ointment to rehydrate the lips was popped on too.
Using Bobbi Brown tinted Eye Brightener to refresh and conceal under the eye area hiding any signs of fatigue. A very light application of Bobbi’s Foundation Stick buffed into the skin used only where the skin needed perfecting. A light dusting of NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder was used only to keep any shine at bay. For mens collection the above is our go-to routine, however with Julien Zigerli there is always a surprise element. Here MUFE iridescent was used to great effect. On intermittent models a generous application either on the neck, chest or hands. Applied by a beauty blender over…. wait for it, MAC lip-glass to act as a glue and finished with a good spritz of hairspray! Now there’s a great backstage secret.
Our hair team created a wet-look gloss finish, and the “undone” styling were a cool complement to the overall look.
