Joseph Turvey is a new, young british menswear designer. He uses his hand drawn illustrations to create unique prints and applies them to luxe sports wear silhouettes. Each collection Joseph experiments with printing, embroidery and in particular fabric and colour manipulation and SS16 has proved no exception. The makeup from this season has been inspired by the soldiers of war. With a strong camouflage military vibe using greens, black & blue the models reminds the viewer of the physical toil of war with half painted faces or goggle marks as if the “model army” had just removed their protective hat or scarf. Powdery pigments were manually smeared across the face by our graduates. Finger marks were visible and a dusting of colour used to commence the look.
