Highlights of our graduate teams as they travel across the world for FASHION WEEK SEASON AW/2016

Lets start of at the beginning  of our massive global fashion tour  28 shows 296 backstage placements,

NEW YORK: With graduates joining us from all over the world we were geared up for a great season & we were not let down, heres just a few of our highlights-

- Jay Godfrey: One of our first shows at NYFW was joining designer Jay Godfrey for his on schedule presentation at the new home of NYFW: Skylight @ Clarkson Square. The look was a stunning graphc liner against the backdrop of a flawless base, the angles mirroring that of the dynamic cut of Godfrey’s AW16/17 Collection. The presentation was breathtaking, surrounded by tropical palms & crushed gold, the models were posed in a statuesque fashion to the music of the late, great David Bowie.

-Iiji  An annual favourite of the AOFMPro team, this season we rejoined designer Iijin for one of our bolder looks, matching Iijin’s rock’n'roll style the collection which featured alot of dark tones and bold prints the graduate team created a black smokey eye and oxblood lip against a porcelain base subtley bronzed for contour. The show was a raging success and was featured heavily in the media surrounding NYFW.

-Moncler Our biggest show of the season, this one was HUGE! between 5 graduates the AOFMPro team managed to perfect 54 looks in just 90 minutes. The Moncler show took over the entire outside promanadeof the Lincoln center and whilst it was only -17 degrees outside, it did not stop our team, every model was given a flawless base with a lightly defined brow, to top this off we added a statement bold red lip to counterbalance the bold blues used primarily throughout the show. The models walked out in a milataryfashion to a fast beat that was matched by nearly 100 dancers in the uniform Moncler blue ski suit.

Next up: LONDON

Paul Costelloe: An annual highlight for our graduate team in London, this years make up inspiration was nomadic, Costelloe’s collection heavily featuring tartans & check, this raw disconnected look gave the perfect juxtaposition for a successful show, the graduate team set to work using tones of gold, taupes & charcoals on top of a glowing, dewy base. the show was situations in one of London’s most elegant spaces: One Oak at Le Meridien.

Gabrielle Vielma:

One of our most creative looks this season, the bold cobalt blues, crisp whites and contrasting black that were seen throughout vielma’s AW16/17 presentation were matched in the decostructed eye created by theAOFMPro graduate team. this against a delicate perfected base made for a great match for the unusualsubaquatic layout of the presentation.

Gyunel:

Although this presentation featured the smallest amount of on-the-day work with only 2 models the work that went into it started months ago, Gyunel’s showcase was almost entirely digital, feauturing apocolypticstyle scenes that were filmed on various dates with the make up looks created by the AOFMPro graduate team, the look for the presentation was very bold & somewhat gothic, a dark smokey eye & a vampy lip were a great match for the militarian style of the collection. This on schedule presentation was heavily feauturedin the British press surrounding LFW.

On to: MILAN

GRINKO: We rejoined designer and AOFM friend Sergei Grinko for the opening of on schedule Milan Fashion Week, Grinko’s modern take on urban fashion was matched with what key artist Michelle Webb described as a ‘heroine chic’ look, with a flawless medium covage base having been applied forst thegratuates then gave the models a copper wash shad to the eye sockets & applied a small amount oflegnthening mascara to the upper lashes. This was finished off with a flash toned sheer lip.

Dondup: Joining designer Dondup against the incredibly glamourous backdrop of Palazzo Durini, theAOFMPro graduate team set to work on a no make up/make up look that was very popular throughout the entire season, after creating a flawless base the team gave a subtle highlight and a rose pink lip.

San Andres: Located in the official on schedule venue of Milan Fashion Week, Piazza Del Duomo, theAOFMPro grauate team joined designhouse San Andres for the seasons runway show, with an incricate hair look & very detailed clothes, the team grated a subtle golden eye, using the same colour to highlight the cheekbone and finishing the look with a wine stained effect lip.

Lastly: PARIS

PUMA:

Joining design duo Trapster X Puma this season at Paris Fashion Week the graduate team were given a very creative breif to work with & the result was breathtaking. Creating a black square using a gel liner & then blended out with a gunmetal shade before applying a noise & dot pattern, this on top of a flaless base and teamed with a nude lip gave a great contrast to the architectural cut of the clothes and the intracacy of the hair style.

This season was incredible & has left us in anticipation for the success of the next season, thank you to all of the designers, stylists, PR teams, sponsors & of course the unwaivering hard work of our graduates.
