AOFM graduates were involved in the closing show of London Fashion Week: H by Hakaan Yildirim. His collection this season was inspired by the main characters in his favourite film ‘Grey Gardens’, based on a mother and daughter living together with limited finances. The collection referenced the eccentric style of Little Edie, with classic corsets seen throughout the show mixed with a distinct seventies influence. Pro artist Yin Lee therefore designed a very stripped back makeup where attention was placed on a bare beautiful skin with a hint of sheen on the cheeks to compliment the collection. Aofm graduate artists were very busy backstage looking after 33 models. They started with cleaning off all traces of makeup using the Dermalogica pre-cleanse followed by Multi Active Toner and a light Skin Smoothing Cream application. Eyelashes were left uncurled and skin was made looking flawless with a ‘barely there’ application. Eyebrows were brushed for a groomed look but left understated. A hint of clear lipgloss was applied on lips and cheeks. The makeup look the AOFM graduate team applied complimented the feminine trademark of the collection with an added masculine edge.
