After over 20 years at the forefront of British fashion, designers Fraser Moss & Jimmy Collins the creative force behind YMC have excelled again in creating their SS17 “Okoro” collection that reflects the most vibrant counter-cultural elements of Britain. True to form Okoro celebrates the rich influx of African art that permeated Britian particularly in the late 60’s to early 80’s showing abstract discharge prints, hand stitched embroideries in luxe fabrics of silk and jacquard.
T-shirts with intricate beadwork, reversible MA1 bombers to raw edged suede jackets, this impressive collection showcased muted tones of burnt red, with flashes of royal blue, bright lemon, vibrant orange and dirty pink woven to create a complex and sophisticated colour palette steeped in heritage yet distinctly modern.
Grooming by AOFM was the epitome of flawless cool. The clean, fresh, youthful skin Was achieved by using Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser sweeped over the face followed by a mist of Multi-active toner to prep the skin properly for the additional of Active Moist (oil free) or Skin Smoothing Cream moisturiser dependant on models skin type.
To finish the grooming pin-point concealing only if needed and if any colour correcting was needed the Catrice Allround Concealer palette freshened especially around the undereye area. The look was completed with a liberal sweep of powder to keep the shine to a minimum in the key areas : forehead, under eye, nose & chin.
