This season sees British heritage brand Barbour reference its own homeland in the sometimes unforgiving NE English coastline. The influence of the North Sea is more than apparent through this thoroughly modern yet tradition-rich maritime collection of lightweight jackets, broadshorts, hats, shoes and boots.
A wonderful collection staying true to the historical references from the original 1894 fisherman and dockers garments yet updated by using the most contemporary fabrics and techniques ensuring the highest quality, functionality and fitness for purpose that Barbour are universally known for.
The male grooming was very much reflective in this raw aesthetic.
The skin prep and treatment was key to fresh skin. All the models were checked that they were close-clean shaven, although trusty Dermalogica’s Soothing Shave Cream was on hand ensuring minimum aggravation if a further shave was required. Using more Dermalogica, the Ultra Calming Cleanser was sweeped over the face helping keeping the models skin fresh and countering any excess redness, followed by a mist of Multi-active toner to prep the skin properly for the additional of Active Moist (oil free) or Skin Smoothing Cream moisturiser.
To finish the grooming pin-point concealing using Catrice Liquid Camouflage, and if any colour correcting was needed the Catrice Allround Concealer palette freshened especially around the undereye area. The look was completed with a light sweep of Catrice All Matt Plus Shine Control Powder.
With the Barbour boys looking this good, we may take up fishing immediately.
