Our grads were up early this morning to head over to the first show of the day at the regal Dartmouth House, situated in the most affluent area of London, Mayfair!
Today the grads were joining designer Tata Naka for the SS19 presentation.
As with a lot of the London Fashion Week designers now, a presentation took place in replacement of a runway show. Presentations give the ability for the designers work to be shown to the press and fashionistas for a much longer time, sometimes up to three hours!
Today’s makeup inspiration came from Greek and Roman statues, with some of the models being positioned on large concrete plinths to give the full effect. The juxtaposition to this historical reference was the designers choice of prints, bold leopard prints and bright tartans. With so much for the eye to focus on, it was understandable that the designer wanted the makeup to be kept to an absolute minimum, just youthful gorgeous skin.
With that brief in mind, our grads set about creating the look and then staying on hand throughout the 2-hour presentation throughout the outfit and model changes to ensure continuity and perfection throughout.
