Today was MEGA! Two huge shows for our grads back-to-back, starting off with them joining Federico Curradi, for the second time in Milan. It was an early start for our grads today, having to be backstage by 8 am, this meant that the alarms were beeping just before 6 am and the coffee was brewing at 7, Milan venues tend to be spaced out all over the city so the grads had to leave with more than enough time to get there. The big, open, modern space provided the perfect juxtaposition to Curradi’s 70’s inspired colour palette.
Curradi’s empire started off in his hometown of Florence, Italy. It was here that he refined his craft and fell in love with the way that the most beautiful garment starts with just a roll of fabric and an idea. His love of classic tailoring became more refined when he made the move to New York briefly, where he started making men’s trouser suits. Upon his return to Italy, his talent was nurtured by Ermanno Daelli, who appointed him as creative director of Ermanno Scervino, which happens to be another one of our regular fashion week clients.
The look for the day was super minimal, primarily focusing on skincare and making the many male models look young & fresh, the grads worked quickly and efficiently and the results speak for themselves, well-done grad team!
Now onto one of our biggest shows of the season: DAKS!Back to Student Work
