The Foundation – Intermediate level exclusive Special FX makeup course and is awarded by AOFM and accredited by City & Guilds (The City and Guilds of London Institute). This course is taught by one of the industry’s leading TV and Film makeup artists who has worked on movies starring Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman and Jude Law and blockbuster films such as Closer, The Book of Eli, Finding Neverland and X-Men: The last Stand to name just a few! We are offering this 6-day course to learn extensive Special FX knowledge, a wide range of application techniques and inside-industry secrets. Throughout the duration of this course you will cover basic skills like scratches, bruising, cuts, abrasions, bald cap application, silicon moulding and character development. If you are looking for an extra skill to add to your professional career, then this is the course for you.

Accreditation Fees £50
- The Academy will accept a 50% deposit to hold a students place at the time of booking.
- All fees must be paid in full no later than 5 weeks prior to the course start date.

The course timings are 10am to 6pm

Accreditation, Exams and Certificates
Students are required to return for a practical and theory exam with an external verifier from the UK in order to be issued with their certificates with CIBTAC. (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).
Certificates awarded by BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) will be issued after successful completion of the module and sent to the student within 3 weeks of graduation.
All other certificates from the London Academy of Freelance Makeup and City & Guilds will be awarded to the student upon completion and pass of the modules at the end of their course.
