Expand your makeup skills to become a more competitive makeup artist by learning the fundamentals of special FX makeup. This course takes you from a foundation to an intermediate level.This course is taught by leading TV and Film makeup artists who have worked on movies starring Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman and Jude law. Also they have worked on some blockbusters films such as Closer, Book of Eli, Finding Neverland, X-men and the Last man standing, just to name a few.
Upon completion of this course you will be awarded:
“The Creative Special Effects Certificate”
This certificate includes Basic Makeup, Character Makeup, Bruising,Wounds, Bald Cap application and Creating a Character which will be awarded by the (London Academy of Freelance Makeup)
And 1 further individual certificate awarded by an accredited global body for the week passed.
Week 1 Special Effects Makeup Course
You will gain Certificate in (Creative Special Effects accredited by AOFM and City & Guilds London Institute)

Fees & Dates
Course Fees : £1400
(Optional additional City & Guilds accreditation : £50)
- The Academy will accept a 50% deposit to hold a students place at the time of booking.
- All fees must be paid in full no later than 5 weeks prior to the course start date.

The course timings are 10am to 6pm
Monday to Saturday over 1 week

FEBRUARY: 3rd February 2020 – 8th February 2020

OCTOBER: 12th October 2020 – 17th October 2020
Accreditation, Exams and Certificates
Students are required to return for a practical and theory exam with an external verifier from the UK in order to be issued with their certificates with CIBTAC. (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).
Certificates awarded by BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) will be issued after successful completion of the module and sent to the student within 3 weeks of graduation.
All other certificates from the London Academy of Freelance Makeup and City & Guilds will be awarded to the student upon completion and pass of the modules at the end of their course.
