He has won numerous awards for his hairdressing as well as his photography skills. Throughout the years Desmond has become a sought after educator and has conducted seminars all over Europe and the USA. Desmond has a countless number of television appearances to his name, and is well known for his roll in Channel 4 TV program The Salon. Fabio began his career as a salon hairdresser in Italy. Working for Toni and Guy following relocating to London, he now works as a freelance hair stylist. Fabio constantly works with some of the biggest names in fashion, including photographers such as Mario Testino. He has also worked on a variety of big shows and magazines in London, Paris and Milan. His work is bold and highly structured, using hair pieces, wigs and the most unbelievable objects in his creations. His fresh, innovative and creative approach with hair has led to him being one of the most sought after freelance artists in the business.

Starting her career in art design and fashion marketing, Lan soon turned her creative talent to make-up artistry. With no previous training she built up her skills extensive experience, slowly climbing the fashion industry ladder.  Over this time she has become well known in the industry, especially as a result of her extremely creative and avant-garde use of colour and texture, and has gained many big-named clients in fashion. Students training with Lan who are interested in working in high fashion and catwalk shows will love her amazing creativity and flair. Johanna, originally from Sweden, came to London to study make up. Soon after she became the in-house stylist for a large production company, responsible for all hair and make up decisions on various films and marketing projects. Deciding to further her career by becoming a freelance hair and make up artist she slowly built a strong reputation and large client list. Her experience covers a variety of areas, but specializing in the music and glamour side of the industry is her forte. This has given her the opportunity to travel extensively. Her wide range of experience in different mediums makes her unique in that she brings to the Academy a contrasting array of expertise. Her vivacious personality, which has helped her become such a freelance success, will certainly be an inspiration to our students. |

Jose, originally from Canada, discovered his artistic streak at a young age as a skateboarding graffiti artist. He decided to focus his love for art on something more constructive and started working for the world’s first ever MAC cosmetics store based in Toronto, before it became the global name we know today. Jose worked there many years helping form its famous reputation and making it a global success.
Jose then moved to London and started building his reputation as a freelance make up artist working alongside Charlotte Tilbury and has now become a reputable freelance artist in his own right. His unique style use of strong colour and texture has been described in the industry as bold and extremely creative. This has given him an international reputation that has led him to travel extensively to Paris, Milan and New York.

Cristina had a passion for the arts from a very early age. She started in Majorca, where she was working as creative manager of a dance team, organizing the choreographies, music, lighting, design of clothes and styling. Looking to expand her ambitions and knowledge, she moved to Madrid where she studied make up and styling professionally in Spain’s most prestigious college Harpo and Goymar. This gave her the experience to be more involved in the fashion industry.Her clients include Marks and Spencer and fashion names like Versace and Jean- Paul Gautier among her credits.
Cristina is highly skilled in the art of body-painting, airbrushing and fantasy make up where she truly expresses her creativity. Her use of strong and vibrant colours is her industry trademark signature. She is also trained in nails and hairstyling, making her an all-round sought after freelance artist. |

Originally from New Zealand, Jana started his career in hairdressing at a young age before moving to Australia to become an accomplished full time model gaining global contracts, appearing in many mainstream publications and shows. To progress his career in the industry further, he moved to London and decided to work on the other side of the camera as a hair and make-up artist, building his experience in European fashion industry as a freelance hair and make-up artist.
During this time, Jana has worked and continues to work with a number of big named celebrities, international designers and high-profile magazines. As a result, Jana is now an accomplished hair, make-up  professional, working with experienced and creative specialists within the field. He has an experimental, refreshing approach, driven by new and exciting projects. He is also the Head of Education at the Academy of Freelance Make Up.
He is dedicated to serving its students and making sure they get nothing but the best training to ensure their future success. Jana is always on the look out for students to take under his wing, offering them work placements and assisting jobs during and after completing their makeup courses.

She has a beauty blog on Storm Models website and is the beauty editor on Stylists Stuff. Furthermore she appears on camera as a makeup/beauty expert for TV. Realizing this was not for her, she decided to follow her passion and become a make-up artist, where she met one of the top hair & make-up artists in Australia, becoming her assistant. Through this, Sandra has vast experience in the beauty & fashion industry, working on top beauty & editorial magazines such as Vogue and Harpers Bizarre as well as at various Australian Fashion Week shows including Sydney and Melbourne, advertising jobs, TV commercials and film productions. Sandra has recently moved to London, where she is working alongside top make-up artists from Streeters as well as working on a number of London Fashion Week shows. Originally from Sweden, Lina started out working as a cartoonist and illustrator after graduating art school. A move to Cairo, Egypt and a job for the largest fashion magazine in the country introduced Lina to the world of fashion and celebrities. She decided to put the drawing career on hold and concentrate on make-up and was soon in high demand by the countries leading producers, singers, actors and magazines. To further her career she decided to move to London where she joined her first agency. Lina is now an internationally recognized make-up artist with over a decade in the industry. Education: Jan was a key member of the Toni & Guy Creative Team, he can be seen cutting and styling in more than 10 collections whilst at Tony & Guy. Jan taught every course from beginner to advanced men’s and was an inspiration in helping to develop the whole curriculum.
Session: Jan started working as a assistant to Guido Palau working for names such as Gucci, Prada, Calvin Klein, Jill Sander, Alexander McQueen, Versace he has moved on to head his own shows for Basso and Brooke, Danielle Scutt, Avsh Alom Gur and Fashion Fringe. He has had work published in magazine, Tush, Glamour, Sunday Times and Tank.

She has assisted top make up artists and hair stylists during NY and London Fashion week. and her credits have appeared in i-D, Vogue , Sunday Times Style, and Tatler. Her approach is fresh and colourful, with perfect attention to detail and context.
