AOFM students take part in their very own photo shoot with only the best professional fashion photographers who shoot magazines such as Vogue, clothes stylists and hair stylists from leading London artist agencies. With the help of these professionals, students create stunning looks for their portfolio. As you can see in this section, students achieve a professional, high standard of work.

Unlike other schools who claim to give you a true high quality fashion make-up photo shoot they seem to forget the finer details which give you a sellable image. AOFM make sure our students do not overdo their make-up application by adding too much, making it look cheap, unprofessional and unacceptable in the industry. Just take a look at the magazines you see today. Make-up is clean, natural and sometimes a little edgy. Overdoing make-up application will not get you work and this is the first sign of a student’s work and not a professional make-up artist.

We do not produce images that look as if the model was having her passport photo taken as this will only look as if it was done by a student. We make sure students only produce magazine-quality images. The Academy and it’s artists concentrate on the overall image such as hair, nails and clothes styling etc.

This shoot gives students the chance to show their creative side and demonstrate the skills learnt over the duration of the course, putting them into practice. This also gives students a great head start with their portfolio and they are able to gain valuable work experience within a professional team.
