If you interested in working as a bridal makeup artist only, this is the ideal course for you. This 5 day detailed course will take you from basic bridal application to an advanced bridal specialist. AOFM will also include bridal hair training enabling you to offer the full service to your bridal clients. The course will be taught using a different high profile industry makeup artist and hair stylist every day, giving you an unbeatable larger skillset and a more unique and creative approach to applying makeup. You will be taught by highly skilled freelance bridal makeup artists and celebrity hairdressers and hair stylists. Course times are from 10am-6pm and 9pm-8pm giving you more time to learn.

All students who take this course are welcome to come to our MAC master class taught by the Mac Pro team you can come to these classes for as long as you wish.
This course is not suitable for anyone wanting a career in fashion or TV and film and cannot be combined with our Advanced Certificate. If you are looking to go further in your career than just bridal we would advise you take our next level up – Foundation Certificate, which covers more universal skills taking you much further than bridal makeup application.

Makeup artist hygiene - This covers the importance and professional understanding of artist hygiene for example, keeping all your equipment clean and tidy and personal hygiene.

Skin preparation - Preparing the skin is just as important as makeup itself. It is the base to any good make-up application. You will learn an understanding of skin care and different skin types. This will also cover the selection and application of cleansers, toners, moisturizers and primers.

Foundation selection and application - Foundation selection according to skin types. Coverage as well as the various mixing and application techniques.

Corrective and Camouflage Techniques Learn correcting and camouflaging technique for imperfections such as spots and dark circles.

Sculpting & Shading - Learn how to re-shape and sculpt areas of the face to emphasize certain features.

Creating glowing skin - Learn how to create fresh glowing dewy skin with a variety of products used by industry professionals.

Powders - Learn application aspects and uses of powders such as loose and pressed.

Bronzers - Learn the various textures, areas and ways to apply bronzers.

Eye Brow shaping - This is one of the most important areas of the face you will learn. Includes Artistic eyebrow shaping techniques to enhance the beauty of the natural line of the eyebrow.

Eye Shadows-powders/creams - This will cover the 2 different textures in terms of their application and their uses in detail.

Natural beauty make-up - You will learn the various ways to apply a perfect natural makeup.

Creative Bridal make-up - This covers in detail the application and other considerations when applying bridal make up.

Smokey eyes - Learn the many styles of smoky eyes. In this section you will learn application techniques use of different textures adding colour and adding a personal style.

Pencil/Liquid Liner - This covers pencil and liquid eyeliners and application techniques in detail.

Mascaras - This covers different mascaras, applications and their uses.

False lash application - This covers eyelash strips, individuals, lower lashes and creative application techniques.

Blushers powder/creams - Blushers, powders and creams will be covered in detail including application techniques of the 2 textures and their uses.

Lip sticks glosses & liners - This will cover all aspects from colour selection to application of lipsticks, glosses and lip liners. You will also learn a variety of creative industry tricks.

Bridal Hair Styling:

During this course you will learn a large variety of tips and tricks that will enhance your expertise when working with a bride. You will go over a wide range of products and learn what to use in order to achieve the ideal look your client wants. Your specialized tutor will also cover different ways of prepping the hair, whether it be tonging long, beautiful curls, using heated rollers to create volume, or learning a basic blow dry to smooth the hair out and give it high shine. You will be able to differentiate between different looks each bride may want (whether it be romantic, glamorous, or ethnic) and also different styles within that category, to add variation and personalize each brides hair do. Other areas that will be covered are, how to create base for each up do through ponytails, French pleat, backcombing, and sewing. Once you have an understanding of this, you then go on to learn how to apply hair pieces, flowers, and ornamentation (again, furthering the personalization of each brides hair style). You will also be well versed in how to add veils into a look and how to dress it afterwards in order to enhance the hair do. Finally, you will gain knowledge on how to have a consultation with your bride and come up with her ideal look on the "big day". This includes finding a hair style that suits the dress, the personality of your bride, and that will also compliment the makeup. Once you have completed this section of the course, you will feel more than confident in achieving any look requested while also making the bride feel confident on her special day.
